The most glamorous of careers often hide many a sad story beneath. Lolo, who won the USA and the World championships in hurdle events in 2013, has only been able to achieve this level by putting in a lot of hard work and a lot of patience. Jones had a difficult childhood because she was the sole child of a mother within a large household. The mother of Jones moved around constantly and lived for a time in the basement of the church. Jones was required to go to the same high school each year because of her nomadic upbringing. Jones left her mother and moved to Theodore Roosevelt in order for her to focus on her track interest. She lived with different families during high school to be capable of focusing on her academics. Jones received her Gatorade track and field Athlete of the Year award while at the high school level. as a cellist in the student section, Jones was also part of the school's orchestra. Since her college days, Jones proved to be one of the best hurdlers. In 2002, at the NCAA Track & Field Championships, she won the 100-meter hurdles. Also, she participated on the runner up team for 100-meter relay. Jones was a winner of the hurdles in the indoor section at NCAA Championships both in 2003 and 2004. Career After completing her studies at the end of 2005 Jones was able to begin training to pursue the track. In 2005 she was first in Torino Memorial race. Brandt was born in Auckland New Zealand after moving from Cape Town South Africa in late adolescence. Brandt's talent was recognized in Auckland by the local cast director Brandt.
